The Duff Trees Christmas Experience

We are open from 9am-5pm daily from December 1st to 24th and there is no need to book a slot if you want to cut your own tree. We have all sizes of trees available and also on sale are wreaths, stands, mistletoe and lights. We’ll provide you with a saw, gloves and carpet to kneel on.

If you don’t want to Cut Your Own tree, we have a selection of pre-cut trees available and some pot grown trees that can be replanted after Christmas.

You will also be tempted by our home made mince pies, jams and marmalade. Lou’s Bake Stop is famous locally and this year she’ll be selling her amazing cakes from her stall in the car park each weekend . Warm up on the cold December days with soup and coffee courtesy of Michelle and the excellent Fallen Tree Coffee Truck . Payment can be made by credit/debit card for most items but some of the stalls can only accept cash or cheques so bring plenty with you!

Family Fun at Duff Trees

Getting your Christmas Tree shouldn’t be a seasonal chore, this is a family experience. Each year the Pollock and Cowan family from East Kilbride organise a December reunion with a trip to Duff Trees. They first started what is now an annual tradition of cutting their own tree at our farm 30 years ago! Then there were was just Margaret, Bill, Alan and Elizabeth, over the years the family has grown and now there are 4 generations and 19 family members (see below).

Cut Your Own Christmas Tree

 Calum Forshaw

Calum Forshaw

Meet Calum Forshaw, who wants you to have a fun, but safe experience getting your Christmas Tree from Duff Trees.

First off you can choose from some of our already pre-cut trees. But for those wishing the full blown experience we will provide you with a saw, pair of gloves and a piece of carpet to kneel on. Once cut and carried back to the shop, we will net it so that you can easily transport it home.

Calum will provide details of further safety instructions on your arrival, but don’t worry it’s all common sense. The kids role is for cheering the adults on whilst they do the sawing !

Local Communities

Duff Trees are pleased to support many of the local villages, providing trees free of charge to the communities. Check our Facebook and Instagram accounts through December for our latest news.
